Maxwell Onoh holds a Ph.D in Chemical Engineering from ESUT, Nigeria; an M.Sc. in Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering from Technical University of Hamburg Harburg (TUHH), Germany; and a B.Eng. in Chemical Engineering from ESUT, Nigeria. Currently an MBA-Finance candidate, he is also a student of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (ICAN). Max holds a NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) in Occupational Health and Safety from Leicester City, United Kingdom. He is also a Professional member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers, and a COREN Registered engineer and has worked as a COREN representative in COREN accreditation and resource inspection at the Chemical Engineering Department, Yaba College of Technology, Lagos State in 2019.
Max is currently (January, 2022 – present) the Acting Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Enugu State University of Science and Technology, ESUT, Nigeria. Prior to this appointment he served as the Students’ Academic Adviser of the Faculty of Engineering having joined ESUT as a lecturer in 2014.
Max’s career commenced as a Chemical Engineer in November 2008 with LONESTAR Drilling Nig. Ltd., Port-Harcourt as a contract staff followed by a brief stint at Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) in 2010 where he served as Officer II Tax in the Multinational Division of Tax Investigation and Enforcement. The rest of his career has spanned lecturing in Chemical Engineering, research in various engineering fields, and consultancy / Advisory in various engineering related projects in the oil industry.
Max leads the technical team of Goshen II Technique in engineering related projects and has supported several Goshen II Technique projects in oil and gas including the Needs Assessment for Establishment of an International Centre of Excellence (COE) in Oil & Gas Engineering Services at the Niger Delta University (NDU), Wilberforce Island, Bayelsa State, Nigeria and project management for establishment of the Centre.
